Congrats!

Congratulations! My best friend Janelle graduated from Loma Linda University, in dental hygiene. I could not be more proud or more happy for her. It is so funny to think that we met 5 years ago, wow has it really gone by that fast? I first met Janelle when I got into the dental assisting program down in southern California. She was one of those people who I knew instantly that we would become best friends. Im glad that she felt the same way about me :)

Zac got off work Saturday morning. I was able to drive over to Mill Valley to pick him up and we both headed down the long, long road to Escondido. Zac and I are working with three cars in our lives right now. We have my 64 Barracuda, the 92 dodge truck and the 64 Valiant wagon. For this road trip we decided to take the valiant...which when I think about it not having a radio and the speedometer not working, maybe we could of taken the truck, BUT, we made it work. Thank goodness for new technology. We just downloaded a speedometer app on our phones and brought a little boom box in the wagon. Problem solved. I know we must of looked funny in that old wagon with s big malamute in the back, we got three thumbs ups and two people took pictures of us. Luckily I wasn't to worried about the possibility of breaking down because my husband can fix anything. I love that about him.

We got into Escondido about 7:00. The whole fam was there! Bobby recently got a new job in San Diego and Jen and him are moving in with my parents for a little to save up some money and so that my sister can start her new store! Im am so excited for my sister. There is no doubt in my mind that she is going to love what she is doing and that she is going to be amazing at it! She has wanted this for so long and she deserves it. We were able to eat some dinner together and hang out and catch up on all the exciting things going on in all of our lives.

Sunday morning I tried to sleep in but Hudson was up and ready to go pretty early. My mom made us all such a delicious breakfast. Waffles with fresh strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream and syrup. So good! After we stuffed ourselves with breakfast we just laid around and took it easy. Before we knew it, it was already lunch time. Zac and I got ready for the graduation so we could leave right after lunch. It took us about an hour and half to drive up to Loma Linda. The place was packed! We could not find any seats because everyone had already come early to save seats, luckily Janelles sister texted me and told me that she had two open seats! The graduation was long, like most graduations but it was worth it to see my best friend! Afterwards we were actually able to find each other and take some pictures. Before I knew it our time was up and Zac and I were headed back home to soak up some more family time before we got up at 4:00 in the morning to head back up! It was a very quick trip but as always I love being able to spend some time with my family. Plus I am excited that I get to see them the beginning of July and they get to stay with me in my new house!

Oh! On the way home we stopped at Z Gallerie and ordered our new couch! I am so excited to have a nice big couch. Everything is coming together! We get our keys either tomorrow or Thursday and then its time to work. Zac is going to start painting on Friday. Oh and one more thing. We went to dinner last night with Cindy and Steve and for a house warming present they are going to pay to have someone re-finish our hard wood floors!! Can you believe it? I wanted to cry. I told them no way and that they could just buy me some flowers or something but they insisted. I guess I won't really understand until I have kids of my own. Anyways, feeling really blessed and excited for the future.

Here is a picture of the couch Im getting...don't mind the two little asian boys playing their video game.

Catch Up

Remember how I was telling you that dogs can be expensive? How about when your malamute eats a fish hook and you don't think things through properly and instead tell the vet to use their endoscope to get it out but after a few hours of waiting they cant find the hook and $1400 later you are in the same place you were before! True story. Don't you just love when that happens? As you can see things have been a little crazy around here. I am going to first post some pictures of what I've been up to later, then try my best to catch you up on everything going on in my life. So here we go.

So obviously we have been going to the lake as much as we can. Well I don't know how often that is going to happen anymore because Zac sold the hooch! It hasn't hit me yet but I think thats because I have been at work all week and the weekend is just around the corner. Zac thought it would be a good to get rid of the hooch not only to focus more on the house but also....we want to get a pontoon. We have pontoon fever and its bad. So hopefully we can focus on our house and get a pontoon!

Speaking of focusing on our house we were able to sign our last set of papers last night. You know the saying that "you're signing your life away"? Well I now fully understand that saying. Last night we had a notary come over and he brought what looked like a small book! I could't believe that we had to go through all that paperwork and sign it. Not only that but we also had to give our thumb prints. Just living the American dream getting in a large amount of debt. But I must say that we are so lucky that we got a house when we did. The house market is going crazy right now. We got our interest for 3.37% I am sure that makes most of you sick to your stomach...but it makes me really freaking happy! Its only going up from here! I heard on the radio the other day that the average house price in Sonoma County is $435! Crazy. Well we should have our house keys on May 31st! Isn't that wild? My very own house!? Im sure that it will hit me once we start moving and making it a home. Did you check out the picture of the table? Well the other night my hubby was like...show me a picture of that table you want so I showed him a quick picture. Well the next day at work I received a picture text of my table! I know what you're thinking, Im spoiled rotten...and I am. I have the best husband ever. I love this table so much! If you were to go buy it at pottery barn I bet it would be like $600 or $700!

This weekend I am headed down to my parents house. My best friend Janelle is graduating from Loma Linda University, hygiene. So Zac and I are driving down on Saturday when he gets off of work then on Sunday is the graduation and then Monday it is back to Nor Cal. Then one more week and we get our house!

Alright well I can't concentrate anymore. Ill try to stay more up to date for ya. I get distracted....with life.
