Doggy Day Care

Like always Zac and I have been very busy! Zac finished up with his last class at the JC so that he can get his AS degree, he is so glad to be done. He also took a fire class all this last week to prepare for this years fire season. Work keeps me busy as well.

Since both of us have been gone during the day we have been sending Hudson over to the grandparents! The other day Tye came down and brought his two German Shepard pups so Cindy and Steve were stuck with 5 dogs! Three German Shepard, one Alaskan malamute and a mini wiener dog! The dogs love runn
ing around and playing with each other.

This next weekend is going to be so much fun! Cindy, myself, my sister and mom are all making a trip down to Palm SPrings area for some fun in the sun! I checked the weather for up here and Nor Cal and it looks like rain. So glad we will be out by the pool enjoying the rays. Zac will be keeping busy with Hudson and the Sprint car races that are coming to Calistoga.

One day, Two car shows

The fleckners had a busy weekend! On Saturday there were two different car shows going on, one in Santa Rosa and one in Calistoga. We decided to go to both! At about 8:30 in the morning we arrived at the car show in Santa Rosa, there were already a decent amount of cars there. We walked all around looking at the many different cars and enjoyed being out in the sun. After about a little over and hour we deicded it was time to head to the next show, so we hopped in our rides and headed to Calistoga!

After we parked our cars on main street we walked down to see all the cars. It was beautiful weather! We headed back to our end of the street and decided that it was time to get some food. We were able to sit out on some picnic tables and enjoy the view! Once we were done eating we thought it was a good time to take Hudson home. We couldn't walk 3 feet without someone coming up and wanting to pet him! He was so warn out. So we walked him back to our house, sat down for a bit and then headed back to town to get some ice cream!

We had so much fun being able to see all the cars and enjoy the gorgeous weather here in the Napa Valley.

Bomb run to So Cal April 30th-May 3rd

Zac and I decided to make a run down to So Cal! I just so happened to have a four day weekend coming up and we though what would be the best way to use all this time? My family had not see Hudson yet and we wanted them to see him while he was still some what small. So a couple days before we decided that we would leave Thursday night after I got off work and head down to see everyone.

It was so nice to be able to see my family. Everyone loved seeing Hudson! My sister had to work some of the days but we were able to spend all Sunday with her. On Friday Zac wanted to go check out a car he had found on craigslist so my mom, Hudson and I all went with him to take a look. It was down in El Cajon which is a 40 minute drive from Escondido. We stopped at Rubios on the way down :)

Once we got to El Cajon Zac checked out the 64 Barracuda. The man originally wanted $5500 for it but Zac offered $3000. He met us at $3500. We really wanted the car but he couldn't find the pink so we headed back home. After being inspired Zac and I decided to go to Crusin Grand and check out some old cars, so much fun!

Saturday we had lunch at Zac's favorite Pat and Oscars! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon out on the patio just enjoying eachothers company. Zac called the man with the Barracuda and he had found the pink! So Sunday morning we were headed back to pick up our car! After checking out the car Zac decided that we would drive it all the way back up north....and we did. 60 mph the entire way, it took us about 12 hours to get home but it was worth it!

My Birthday

Birthday Time! To ring in my Birthday Zac cooked some delicious dinner on Friday night. He made me lemon peppered salmon with red potatoes and carrots, yum!

My actual Birthday started out with a home cooked breakfast, thanks hubby! We were able to relax all morning and I got to open presents sent from my family. After breakfast I got ready for the day, I had an 80 minute massage I had to get to!

When my massage was done Zac picked me up an
d we headed over to his parents house. I was able to get cleaned up and then it was off to dinner with the family. We headed over to Healdsburg to eat at Bistro Ralphs, the food was amazing!

Hudson at home

Oh Hudson! This little guy sure has a lot of energy. He just loves to play especially tug-o-war with his rope and then once he's done, he crashes. Zac and I have been starting on the training already. He wakes up about 2-4 times a night and every time we take him out to go potty. Last night he only woke up once!

He is 8 weeks old this weekend. We are thinking he is pretty big for his age but not surprising being that his dad was 110lb and his mom was 90lbs. In about a week we are taking him to get his 9 week shots. Once he has those we will be able to bring him around other dogs.

We have been working on taking him on walks but I think he was a little to young at first. He is getting better and better though. It has been pouring rain all yesterday and today so hopefully this week it lets up and we can take him out and about!

Hudson

What a trip! It began Saturday evening as soon as Zac got off from taking a class. We loaded up the car and headed up towards Washington! The drive was beautiful. We made it all the way up North with only a few sprinkles of rain and a little snow headed over Shasta. We weren't able to enjoy much of the view due to it being an all night drive.

We arrived in Washington at about 6:00a.m. Easter Sunday! We were a bit early to pick up the puppy so we decided to take an hour nap and then we headed over to Dennys for some breakfast. On our way over we also stopped at a beautiful little park, it was SO cold out!

Finally, around 8:45 we arrived at the Wokini Ranch to pick up our little guy! It was SO windy while we were there. First thing the breeder took us to see our puppy then invited us inside to get all our paperwork squared away. It didn't take long before we were back on the road!

Zac and I were worried about a 14 hour drive with a puppy but suprisingly it went wonderful! He slept the whole drive! He woke up once howling and we pulled over to let him out. As we got closer to home, about 30 minutes away he started to get ancy but over all he did such a great job!

We did hit some snow on the way home that slowedus down a bit but it was so beauitful I couldn't help but take tons of pictures! Thankfully Hudson didnt need to use the bathroom during that time on our trip :)

Weekend with friends

What a busy weekend! Friday night Zac and I picked up Janelle and Dylan from the airport and headed back home. Saturday we packed up some of Zac's guns and headed up to cow mountain for some shooting. It was a beautiful day to spend out side!

After spending a couple hours up on the mountain we headed back to Calistoga to get ready for dinner. We decided to hop on the crusier bikes and ride over to Solage to have dinner at the Sol Bar. It was so much fun being able to enjoy good food and good frie
nds!

Our plan for Sunday was to do some wine tasting. After we enjoyed some delicious chocolate chip pancakes we got ready for our day and headed over to Sterling Winery. The weather was perfect for our day! After our tasting we decided to head into
St. Helena for some delicious food at Travigne, so yummy. Next Zac and I decided to take Janelle and Dylan by the Castle. We didn't stay long because we needed to head home to pack up and take off to San Francisco!

Once we arrived in San Francisco we stopped to take some pictures in front of the bridge then later that night it was off to Ghirardelli for some hot coco, then we ended the night with a nice little walk by the water. The next morning we walked to breakfast and then decided to head over to Coit Tower. After seeing the sights of the
city Zac and I decided it was time to head home. It was a wonderful weekend!
