Good Guys Car Show Nov. 14th 2010

Yet another car show! It was going to be a beautiful day so what better way to enjoy it then walking around and looking at some hot cars? Zac and I had our friends Ricky and Autumn over the night before to enjoy some of our home made pizza, we got to talking and decided we would all head down the the Good Guys car show.

We were up early on Sunday to meet everyone over in Santa Rosa. After everyone got there we decided it would be smarter if we would all carpool, so we hopped in Rickys dads van and off we went!

When we arrived it was already starting to warm up! The boys wanted to hit up the swap meet first to see if they could find anything they couldn't live without. Zac was keeping his eye out for some mustang disc brakes to fit on our Barracuda no such luck. Nick was able to score a free bike! He was walking by and found a bike that said free and he took it. He was popping wheeling with it ( even though it had flat tires).

After making our way through the swap meet it was finally time to check out the cars! It was a pretty big meet and Im not sure if we were able to see everything but it was really fun to walk around.
As usual I kept my eye out to find a 64' Barracuda but yet again there were none there. I can't wait to get my car all cherried out so that I can take it to a car show and be the first 64' barracuda there!

After doing a lot of walking we were all pretty hungry! Ricky had been talking about going to Fudruckers all day so we were ready to eat! We were able to sit down and relax and enjoy our delcious burgers. So fun being able to hang out with friends, unitl next year Good Guys :)

Sister Weekend

November 3rd was my beautiful sisters Birthday! We were unable to be together for her big day but she was able to come up for the weekend and celebrate up here in the Napa Valley. Jen flew up north and was able to hang out with her best friend Tracie on friday. Once they were done spending some time together she drove over to the Calistoga to spend some time with me!

Saturday morning was gorgeous here in the Napa Valley, so we decided to hop on the crusisers and do some wine tasting. Our first stop was Sterling Winery. Sterling is always fun to go to because you get to take the mini tram up the hill to the winery. We were able to sit outside for a bit and enjoy the beauitful weather and the awesome view!
After we finished up at Sterling we decided to hit up one more winery. We got on the bikes and peddled down the street to Clos Pegaus Winery. We had both never been there. We had our wine tasting and then road into town to grab some food really quick. We were in a bit of a rush because we had Ultimate pedicures at Coldwater Creek the Spa. We had had these pedicures the day before my wedding and discovered that they are the best pedicures that you could ever have so we did NOT want to miss out. We road home quickly, jumped in the car, ate our sandwhiches and off to Santa Rosa we went!

After our awesome pedi's we decided to head home and relax even more! We picked out at movie and ordered some of out favorite pizza from La Prima! What a nice end to a great day!

Sunday the rain came! We thought it would be a good day to head into St. Helena and walk around. After walking around for a bit and doing some window shopping we decided to grab some lunch at the one and only Guignis!
Jen was able to pick up some gifts for mom and dad while we were in St.Helena. Of course dad got the Woodhouse chocolate and she got mom a really cute candle holder! After our little shopping trip it was time to head back home and get ready for our night out! Before we went home we made a pit stop at some beautiful vineyards for some sister model pictures!

Once we were done with our pictures we headed home to get ready! I had taken my mom out to Solbar a couple weekends before and she had loved it. She thought that my sister would love going there as well so I set up some reservations for my sister and I. We wanted to get in some more time together in the Napa Valley before she headed home the next day! The food was delcious!
We soaked in the atmoshpere as we enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers. Jen ordered Tuna and I had soup and salad and it was delicious! We also decided to get some dessert, deep fried apple pie! What a perfect way to end such an amazing weekend. We are already excited about planning our next weekend together. Be sure to enjoy more of our pictures at: Kimberlyzachery.shutterfly.com.

Mom and Daughter Weekend

Fall is in the air! My mom flew up on Friday to spend the weekend with me here in the Napa Valley. It was so nice to have a break from work and enjoy some much needed time together!

The forcast for the weekend was rain rain rain but there was a glimmer of hope for Monday! Friday I was able to get off work early, so that I could clean the house before my mom arrived. She got here about 3:30 on friday afternoon and we were able to sit and talk and catch up on eachothers lives. We decided that it would be a good night to have some BBQ even though it was raining outside. Zac BBQed steak and salmon! Yum!

The next morning we woke up to more rain. We decided that it would be a good day to do some shopping! My house was in need of some new decore after Hudson had chewed up my slipcovers. Zac my mom and I hoped in the barracuda and off to Santa Rosa we went. We found ourselves going to three different fabric stores before we found what we wanted. Then it was off to grab some lunch and head back home.

By the time we got home it was already late into the afternoon. We decided to just relax, watch a movie and order some pizza!

Suprise, suprise the next morning we woke up to more rain. We chose to stay in all day with the heater and the fireplace! Zac was able to work on the barracuda. He put the front sway bar in which we are both excited about. It doesn't feel like your driving a boat anymore. My mom worked so hard all day sewing a new slip cover for my living room chair! It looks awesome. Thank you so much momma you are amazing. After working hard all day Zac and I wanted to treat my mom to a delicious dinner so we headed off to Solbar.

The food was delicious! We had so much funenjoying eachothers company and the awesome atmosphere. When we got back to the house we got into our comfy clothes, put on a fire and watched young frankenstein. A perfect way to end the night.

Monday monring, sunshine! My mom and I were so excited to wake up and see the sun in the sky! We decided that today would be a great day to head into St. Helena and walk around. We got up, got ready and headed into town around 10:30. It was so nice to be able to walk around in the sun! We first stopped at Woodhouse to pick up some chocolate for my dad. It is always so fun to look at their window display and see everything made out of chocolate.
We walked around some more and my mom wanted to go to her favorite store of course! She loves Vintage Home. I was able to go in Footcandy and look at all the gorgous shoes! I found the cutest pair of rain boots that I wanted to buy but I just might wait till Christmas :) With all this rain we have been having I think I need some dress rain boots. So by now we are getting hungry so we found a a cute little place in town called AKA bistro. The food was so good ( you can't really go wrong in Napa Valley). After we stuffed ourselves it was time to head back to Calistoga.
My mom had to pack up and head home once we got back :( It was sad to see her go but we had so much fun this weekend! It was so much fun being able to hang out with my momma, I love her so much!! Can't wait til next time. Check out more pictures from our weekend at: www.kimberlyzachery.shutterfly.com

Happy Birthday Zac!

So on Thursday Zac had his 24th Birthday! He had to work on his Birthday so I was planning on bringing him some dinner. My friend Chelsie texted me and asked me what I was doing that night for his Birthday and then she suggested throwing a mini party for him! Because I had to work all day Chelsie took care of everything! She made enchiliadas, rice, beans and had some of the paramedic guys bring the cake!

Once I was off work I headed over to Chelsie and Jasons house were we loaded everything including the dogs. Zac was very suprised to see us all there with some delicous food. Even though it was at the Fire House I think Zac enjoyed having us over there :)

Anniversary Time

The big one year! So for our one year anniversary Zac and I decided to head down to Monterey Bay. We left on Saturday and got there right around lunch time. We were able to walk around fishermans warf and grab some food at one of the resturants looking over the water. It was so cool to look down and see the jelly fish and otters swimming around in the water.

After lunch we headed back to the hotel to get ready to head over to Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The aquarium was so awesome! My favorite thing to see were definately the jellies! They are just so cool looking.

Once we were finished walking around it was already dinner time! Zac go
t us some reservations at The Chart house. It was a beautiful restaurant on the water. Zac had roses waiting at the table and he brought a bottle of wine from the day that we got engaged! He also suprised me with our wedding cake, it wasn't the year old cake from our wedding day, so it was delcious :)

One year and still going strong. Zac is the best, I couldn't ask for a more loving, caring husband. I am so thankful to have him, he is truly my better half. Love you so much hubby!!

Kennedy Meadows

Backpacking! On August 28th at about 4:00 in the morning we headed off towards the mountains. We were able to stop at a little breakfast place and get some food. When we arrived we got all the dog packs ready, grabbed ours and headed up! We planned the trip thinking that we would be going about 4-5 miles. We ended the trip going 7-8 miles!! The scenery was beauitful but I must admit I barely made it to camp! The up hill was killer and it felt like the up hill the entire hike.

This was the first time that Hudson had carried his own pack but he did amazing, we were very impressed. He just loved being able to run around and play with the other dogs.

About 4 or 5 hours later we finally made it to our destination! We were all dead. Zac had hiked ahead and actually came back to get mine, what a great husband. One of Tye's friends that we hiked in with knew some people that had come in the day before, we were able to join them in their campsite. We hurried to set up camp and then just sat down and enjoyed food and fire!

The next day we were up early and Zac and I decided to go fishing after breakfast. We hiked through the marshy, muddy tall grass and found a couple of good spots to cast in. Zac hooked two fish but they got away, I got nothing. After about two hours we decided to head back to camp and get some food! It was already late afternoon so we just sat around and relaxed. Zac and Tye decided to try their luck at fishing so they headed out!

The boys came back from fishing and tricked us into thinking theyhad caught no fish, we were all feeling bad until Zac pulled out the 5 fish they had caught! We cooked up dinner, including the fish, enjoyed some time by the fire and headed to bed.

After a good nights sleep we woke up, had breakfast and packed up camp. We were on the trail at about 9:30. The hike out was SO much better! First of all I didn't have 2 bottles of wine in my pack and I had more sleep. I hiked out most of the way with Cindy and we moved! I think we got out of there in about 2 hours. When we got to the truck we loaded our packs in and let the dogs sleep while we got some real cooked food! All in all it was a fun trip.
